Cycling in Cornwall
Good cycling abounds in the area.

Cardinham Woods has extensive trails, as well as good walking and a cafe with delicious food.

Siblyback Lake Country Park has dry, level cycling which is suitable for all ages.

Lanhydrock National Trust house has a cycle park with a cafe where bikes can be hired

Camel Trail, the original cycling trail along the old railway line from Bodmin to Padstow which is suitable for the family. Cycles can also be hired.

karting / Water Sports / Swimming
Kartworld, Cornwall's best karting track is just down road on the A38. (If you've only ever done indoor karting, you'll be thrilled by how much faster and exciting it is on a more open, outdoor track!) Next door to Kartworld is Adrenalin Quarry, an amazing attraction featuring the UK's "Maddest Zip Wire", the 150 feet high Giant Swing, freshwater coasteering and "The Blob". Children of 10 or older are welcome.

Swimming at pools in Liskeard and Bodmin.

And, of course, the sea. We are 11 miles from the south coast and 18 miles from the north coast.

Dark Skies
At Hole Barn, we still have dark skies. The stars at night can be seen as they would have been hundreds of years ago, with hardly any light pollution to dim their brightness. The Milky Way is clearly visible at Hole Barn.
